Great Plains Labradoodles is a veterinary inspected Breeder of Medium sized and Miniature Australian Labradoodles. We focus on quality parents to produce quality Australian Labradoodle puppies and we are one of few medium and miniature labradoodle breeders in Canada. We specialize in personal and family Australian Labradoodle puppies, as well as high quality breeding females from the world's best bloodlines.

Australian Labradoodles are one of the non allergenic dog breeds and one of the few non shedding dog breeds. This makes them ideal dogs for people with allergies.

Our goal is to breed asthma/ and allergy friendly, non shedding labradoodle puppies that can be a part of your family. The puppies' coats are so soft they feel like "Gund" stuffed animals and the parents' fleece coats are so soft you can "lose" your hand in all the softness. All our parents have been health tested prior to breeding.

Why Australian Labradoodle puppies, as opposed to an American Labradoodle puppy?

Australian Labradoodles have a diverse gene pool to draw from. Our multigenerational labradoodles have taken on the best traits from the parent breeds. The received the lovely domed head and stocky body of the American and English cocker spaniel, the size factor and non-shed trait of the poodle, and the joy of the Labrador. The Irish Water Spaniel added a endearing personality while the Curly Coated Retriever added a unique colour dimension found in some infusions. Of course, this is greatly simplified, but it gives you an idea of where these great dogs come from.

American Labradoodles only have poodle and lab in varying degrees in their pedigrees. This limits the unique traits to those found in those two breeds as opposed to the variability found in the Australian labradoodle. Many, not all, American labradoodle breeders do not breed past the first few generations.

In order to have all the traits stabilized and consistent, it takes several generations to put together the multi-gen medium and mini Australian labradoodle package, and it is well worth the wait!
